According to figures from data partner RDC, 28,066 new passenger cars were registered last month, compared with 28,818 in July 2025; a decrease of 2.6 per cent. Over the first seven months, the total now stands at 202,469 registrations, a fall of 4.1 per cent compared with the same period in 2025.
After seven months, Kia tops the list with a market share of 9.7 per cent, followed at some distance by Toyota (8.0 per cent) and Volkswagen (7.0 per cent).
A new entrant to the competitive landscape is Geely, which has now placed its first 74 units on the Dutch market.

In July – according to figures from data partner RDC, processed by AUMACON – 13,167 new (fully) electric cars were delivered, 47.6% more than in the same month a year earlier, accounting for a July market share of 47.0%.
After seven months, the total number of new EVs sold has surpassed the 2025 level. Market share also rose. The cumulative EV market share after seven months now stands at 38.0%, compared with 34.4% in the same period of 2025.
