Last month - according to figures from data partner RDC - 25,704 new passenger cars were registered compared to 26,992 in April 2025; a decline of 4.8%. Over the first 4 months, this brings the tally to 106,611 registrations, down 9.9% compared to the same period in 2025.
Kia leads the list after 4 months with a 9.4% market share, followed by Toyota (7.3%) and Volkswagen (7.2%).

In April - according to data specialist RDC - 9,548 new (fully) electric cars were delivered, 4.1% more than a year earlier in the same month.
Due to moderate enthusiasm in the first quarter (-23.3%), the EV market share fell to 32.3% in the first 4 months. in 2025, it was still 35.1% after 4 months. Hybrid cars are the only car type climbing in popularity this year.
