Last month – according to figures from data partner RDC – 39,015 new passenger cars were registered, compared with 34,405 in June 2025; an increase of 13.4 per cent. Sales of electric cars in particular are responsible for this. For the first half of the year, this brings the total to 174,789 registrations, a fall of 4.2% compared with the same period in 2025.
After six months, Kia tops the list with a market share of 9.5%, followed by Toyota (8.0%) and Volkswagen (7.0%).

In June – according to figures from data specialist RDC, processed by AUMACON – 17,108 new (fully) electric cars were delivered, 41.0% more than in the same month a year earlier. Both the rapidly growing (low-cost) supply from China and the impending tax on non-electric business cars (from 2027) are driving this trend.
The total number of EVs over the past six months is now almost at the same level as in the same period in 2025. This slight shortfall will be fully made up by July.
