Last month, 31,515 new passenger cars were registered compared to 36,994 units in March 2024; a decrease of 14.8 per cent. After 3 months, the market is now 9.8% behind last year.
Kia recorded an 11.4 per cent market share in the first quarter, while numbers 2 (Volkswagen) and 3 (Toyota) do not exceed 6.9 per cent and 6.7 per cent respectively for now.

Tesla is still undisputedly the most popular EV brand in the Netherlands, but the questionable brand saw sales in our country fall in the first quarter from 6,842 units in Q1-2024 to 3,443 units last quarter, a drop of 49.7%.
