Last month - according to figures from data partner RDC - 31,467 new passenger cars were registered compared to 31,132 in March 2025; an increase of 1.1%. This brings the first quarter to 81,480 registrations, down 10.8% compared to Q1-2025.
Kia leads the list after 3 months with a 9.0% market share, followed by Toyota (6.7%) and Volkswagen (6.6%).

In March - according to data specialist RDC - 11,030 new (fully) electric cars were delivered, 1.1% less than a year earlier in the same month.
The market share of EVs fell to 30.5% in Q1-2026. after 3 months in 2025, it was still 35.5%. In contrast, hybrid and diesel cars are climbing in popularity.
