Top 100 Most Powerful People in the Dutch Automotive Sector Y-2013

For the fourth time already: the AutoWeek 100. The 100 most influential people in the Dutch automotive sector. Once again, there are many shifts, new members and old-timers looking for their names in vain this year. Brands lost market share, companies went bankrupt and people were fired, others were successful or appointed to high positions. At the top, things remained fairly stable and that is not surprising, because in this list we do not assume only hard sales figures, but also influence. And influence is not a tangible concept. It largely has to do with the respect and authority you enjoy. These are things that newcomers often have yet to acquire, while those who have been working in this sector for years have a lot of prestige, credit and power. And keep it. Their status is not tampered with lightly.
Interviews with insiders played a major role in compiling this list, as always. Thanks to everyone who provided us with input. Again, with a few exceptions, we mention only one person per company. The people just below the top at a superpower are often more powerful than the number one at a smaller company, but their influence in this list applies through their chief. We leave out the car damage business and insurers, as well as the aftermarket parts business. There are very big names and excellent managers working here too, but the sectors are too far removed from the public to be of interest for this list, in our opinion. In brackets is the position the person in question occupied last year.
